QUEST OF FIRE FRIDAY: ON TOUR WITH JUSTREAD

Hello, there!

 This is the first Quest of Fire Friday post here of the new year and the first I’ve made since the final book in the series, The Unending Light released! I made a short video to help put to words the maelstrom of emotions I’m feeling.

The music in the video is the theme music for Quest of Fire. Those of you who have read any of the novels in the series have encountered “Lament for Father”, the song that Anargen describes in The Gathering Dark as the saddest Walhonde’s mountains ever bore.” Walhonde being the name of the County in Libertias Anargen is from and that song an example of the Welsh concept of hiraeth– a sense of missing something that is gone and longing that it can be restored while wondering if that could ever be possible. That isn’t the sole thing I wanted to share today. Quest of Fire is also on tour with JustRead! The tour actually wraps up today (because it’s a new year, but I’m still me, so behind on things as usual), but all the links below should stay good (the big plus of a virtual tour) and I’ve taken the liberty of labeling the stops by the content they have. The Lord has really blessed me with some encouraging reviews and I had a great time talking over how Quest of Fire came to be, how faith in Christ is woven into the series fabric, and what you can expect from The Unending Light.
